Clites is one of the best professors UCLA has to offer. He will work with you individually to make sure your needs are met in the class if you ever find yourself struggling. Definitely go to office hours or collaborate with other students (he encourages it!) on homework assignments, especially the MATLAB portions as these are by far the most difficult. Other than that, the class is very straightforward and will prepare you to use differential equations as an engineer through constant integration of real-world examples in lecture.
if you are going to take this class, take it with professor clites, he is very accommodating and very knowledgable. Professor Clites often gives real world examples which helps when visualizing these kinds of problems making them easier. Best teacher ever.
