I thought this class would be a lot easier than what it was. I ended up spending so much time watching the lectures. Phonetics is a huge part of this class and you have to put in a lot of time in order to understand it.
Harold Torrence is the goat. Lectures are all professionally recorded and pretty engaging and teach the content well. Weekly work consists of watching lectures, reading the textbook or some article (often skippable), and completing a short quiz. There are two analysis papers assigned throughout the quarter, which were the most difficult part of the class, but they were graded generously.
