Lectures were a great review of material from 14b as well as helped in conveying helpful information for helping with postlabs. Highly recommend Professor Pang!

Dr. Pang is one of the most caring professors out there. His midterms are very similar to the problem sets he provides as extra practice. He truly cares about the success and well being of students.

the lectures directly reflect on to the test (best type of class!) and the instructor is more than willing to explain concepts during office hours. the labs are fairly easy if you spend time on them and I did learn a lot from the supplementary reading materials. this professor wants you to pass! one of the easy chem classes for sure.

You HAVE to buy the lab manual and notebook which sucks. I tried so hard finding a free pdf but couldn't find one anywhere. He provides the prelab and lab instructions for the first lab but after that you HAVE to buy the lab manual. I bought like a 100 page lab notebook and didn't even use half of it so don't waste your money (unless you write rlly big and make a bunch of mistakes). The midterm was online and pretty easy, the final was in person and a lot more difficult IMO and thought I bombed it but thankfully didn't. I suggest you study the lecture slides alot for the final. The lectures WERE NOT RECORDED SMHHHH. They were hella early too and I never went. He does post the slides but I feel like the slides sometimes were confusing but for the most part you can understand the concepts by just looking at the slides. I reccommend you join a group me for the class so you can review your prelab answers with others. For most labs you sadly do go all the way until the end of class but the first and last labs you leave really early. I think for 2 of the labs you have to work with people and you have to complete a lab report together and do equal parts because you have to write what each person does at the bottom of it. I can't say much about the professor himself since I never went to lecture but I guess I would reccommend him since I did well LOL. I am not sure how much the class structure differs between professors.
