The professors were knowledgeable about and engaging with the material.
The class was split between the professors in a very interesting way, that made it a little difficult to get used to either of their teaching styles. Cooper could be somewhat technologically challenged and would not post all of the slides they actually used during class. He was still nice and explained concepts fairly well which made his lectures pretty well. Khankhan moved through material very slow or fast depending on if we were behind or not, but that could be a little confusing. She did do a great job explaining the clicker questions but they did not feel super helpful when it came to exams. I thought I would do better in this class than I did, but it is heavily geared towards the premed track and people interested in those concepts. The ordering of the concepts feels slightly out of order but gives a very comprehensive look at human anatomy and physiology. I recommend spending a lot of time studying for this class and knowing the material inside and out. Thats pretty much the only way to get an A, especially since similarly to the rest of the LS7 series they use horrible grammar and word questions strangely to trip you up.
Dr Khankan is a very very good lecturer and explains things very clearly. I understand concepts covered during her weeks, but not so much on weeks handled by Dr Cooper. I would recommend taking the lecture taught fully by khankan
The exam itself is very hard though, in the way the questions are worded
Khankhan was amazing but the Cooper is so slow and disorganized. The midterms and final are all unnecessarily complicated with quintuple negatives that make you get a whole section wrong even though you understood the concept. The content is pretty interesting however it goes so fast you go into depth while simultaneously having everything be superficial in lecture and even discussion. They expect you to studied an insane amount in order to know every possible scenario when that's impossible while juggling other classes. There's quite a bit of extra credit and points so even if you do very poorly you don't end up with a terrible grade but it's hard to get bad grade after bad grade when you studied for hour and understood the material.
I've done well in all of my UCLA courses but this has been the hardest class behind orgo chem. 7C is a step up from the content in 7a and 7b and it's not really dependent on the professor. Just take a time that works for you. I would recommend going to CLC sections and really putting in time into this class but ultimately there will still be those few questions you can't really study for. Take advantage of the extra credit as I got an A by 0.5 point out of 500 total.
I really liked Dr. Khankan as a professor, she's really approachable and wants her students to succeed. LS7C is my favorite class in the 7 series, but it is a bit more difficult than 7A and 7B. Study the diagrams, clickers, and go to CLC sessions--it helps.
