Samani's lecture style was different from other physics professors because he tried more of a flipped classroom style and didn't so much lecture on topics, instead spending a whole lecture on a really detailed example to show how you might apply the class concepts. Overall he's a pretty good professor and very reasonable when interacting with students. He used to have weekly quizzes but scrapped that for homework graded on completion and 1 midterm, 1 final. DO THE HOMEWORK!!! If it allows multiple tries at least submit it once with random answers so that it shows as completed because they're free points and he won't give any credit if it's even a little late! He gave us a week so in retrospect I should've taken care of it asap, but anyway the hw is free points and you won't regret having them since every point off an exam can change your overall grade. Exams were kinda difficult but fair and the homework and discussions were pretty representative of what you might see. Also discussions were mandatory attendance for points which was a bit of a pain but again free points!
