Prof. Wong explains the concepts well and is overall a fair grader.

Took during hybrid COVID but I really enjoyed Wong's teaching! The grade was composed of Challenge Problems, Group Quizzes, and Exams. Homework was optional, no submission. Group quizzes took place in discussion. You were allowed to work on your own, but it was nice working in a group! TAs gave generous hints. Challenge Problems are projects where you write a textbook chapter about an assigned subject. They were a lot of work but I preferred it over more exams and Wong was VERY generous with regrade requests (took my 80 to a 100). There's also a reflection at the end of the quarter that can potentially give you "extra credit" (basically you write an essay to convince him to round up your grade). Very fair grading overall

Not very organized, but VERY easy class. Use the textbook pages she uploads in the files, very useful and important. Overall, SUPER easy class.

Lectures were well structured and went through topics in a clear and orderly manner.
If you've skipped lecture, make sure to watch the video rather than just the annotated slides since his handwriting is interesting.
Very clear and makes topics enjoyable.
Provides everything you need for midterms and finals, though they can still be difficult.
No homework, instead he makes you do challenge reports which is like writing a textbook chapter to solve a math problem. The grading on these are pretty sketch and I could never get a good hand over it.
    Good option for 32B.

Lectures were clear, but it was still helpful for me to read the textbook since some concepts could be confusing. Wong is a very fair professor, in that the problems on the tests are similar to homework problems but not entirely, and you really have to work hard to learn the concepts so you can apply them in different scenarios. We were allowed a small index card for every midterm and two for the final (if I recall correctly). There are two challenge problems, where you basically write a report about this problem and how you solved it. Discussion was also helpful since you would be placed in a random group every section and work on problems together. Overall, it was alright but not an easy class.
