32b is definitely one of the harder undergraduate math classes. However, the textbook is really helpful in explaining content. Prof Do isn't a bad teacher but is very straightforward and can be a little blunt sometimes (ie someone is asking really basic questions over and over)
Decent professor with fair exams that are based on homework and in class problems. Would recommend.
Prof Do's exams are relatively easy conceptually, but involve tedious integrals that need a time to complete and check. The homework was quite heavy, around 15-17 questions each week, but they prepare you for the exam well. No cheat sheets were allowed but there was a formula sheet for finals.
Do gets a lot of hate but I really liked him. His tests were kinda cumulative through all of calculus, so having to know stuff like integration by parts or partial fractions was important for tests which not a lot of people liked, though I did not think his tests were bad like others make it seem. On the midterms if the class does not perform where we wanted, he said that he would curve it differently/give extra credit which I thought was fair. He is a good lecturer and funny. Would recommend 10/10.
Professor Do is a clear lecturer and his lectures are really organized. He post his notes on canva and if you do the homework the midterms are fair.
To be honest, I barely went to lecture and discussion and essentially self-studied the material from the textbook, which may have resulted in the course being more difficult than I expected. But I feel that even if I'd attended lecture, it still would've been one of the harder undergraduate math courses. From what I could glean, Professor Do is a decent lecturer, but if you don't supplement your comprehension with the book or through some other means, you'll probably struggle. He's a funny guy too. He lets you review the final in at the start of the next quarter, and when I went in for my session I had a nice chat with him. Super nice, I hope to actually go to lecture to listen to him if I ever take another course he teaches.
Excellent professor. Do was super funny and passionate about what he was teaching, and clear and concise in his explanations.
Overall nice class, he teaches well, lectures are recorded and exams are pretty straightforward. Coming into this I expected 32B to be much harder this class felt easier than 32A with Wong. Homework assignments every week from the textbook. No cheatsheet. Would recommend.
Honestly this class was not as bad as I expected it to be. I did go to office hours every week though, and they were VERY helpful. Prof. Do knows what he's talking about so going to office hours and seeing his thought process behind the problems was very beneficial
Prof Do is really chill and cares about the students well being and success in this course. The lectures weren't recorded, but he provides his lecture notes (which were kinda messy) but could easily be supplemented with the textbook. The pacing of the class was good and I found the course material easy to follow along with. The final was pretty straightforward as he gave a practice final with very similar problems. There was also a curve on the final grades. Highly recommend this class with him.
