Due to the online nature of this quarter, I felt unmotivated to even go to lecture for this class as I didn't really think the material needed me to go to lecture for exams.
Overall the class was pretty enjoyable and easy. There were lots of extra credit options and a causal pace set for the class. I took 3 other classes at the same time and did not feel overwhelmed. Prof Marcot was very approachable and a good instructor. He somethings got sidetracked, but never so much that the class got behind on the material. I know that when the class overlapped with a holiday we got the class off will other sections for the rest of the professors still held class from being behind which I thought was a good reflection of his teaching style. He was also pretty nice and willing to accommodate.
Marcot was a very good instructor and explained the content very well. I enjoyed this class the most out of the 7 series. I recommend going over clicker questions and going to weekly problem-solving sessions. These study methods were most beneficial for me.
Professor Marcot is a great instructor, the nicest, and is always helpful. However, we were consistently behind in slides for the week. We would still be on last week's slides when starting a new week on Tuesday, and we were stuck in a cycle. Besides that, Marcot himself is great, answering all questions in a non-condescending manner, dealing with technical difficulties well, and overall being a great person. I wish my schedule worked out to meet with him during office hours just to chat. The one time I was able to attend for questions was a great help. I would recommend Marcot to anyone.
Overall, the class is about knowing how the professor words the tests. The concepts are all easy but the tests are what really trip people up. I'd recommend going to CLC and office hours, since they will definitely help in understanding what the question wants from you.
