I recommend going to the problem solving sessions as they really helped me prepare for the midterms
I took this class online during covid. Professor Pires was good and willing to accommodate students. The midterm and final were relatively easy compared to 7A and 7C.
the entire 7 series is really difficult. this is said to be the hardest of the 3 and I agree, the content is very heavy and it's a lot of memorization. the 7 series just requires 500% effort. the lectures were okay but again, the exam just seemed 10x harder than what you studied for. definitely look for a study group and definitely prioritize this class if you want an A.
Class is okay, just a lot of busy work and memorization to do. 7B is different in that you have to attend the labs, and you have to complete assignments with your group. It's not difficult, you just have to attend. iClickers are more strict than 7A and there is less leniency with every category.
she was a super nice professor, however the structure of the class was just super work heavy and attendance is required, but the clickers were not location based.
also, pre-class reading guides weren't required for this class, which was nice.
Dr. Pires was a pretty good lecturer and seems to be a nice person. The tests were normal for the 7 series with some questions being worded in weird ways or unclear. Studying goes a long way like any class in the 7 series.
Similar to lifesci 7a, the iclicker was very helpful for review and the pod groups were a great resource to reach out to for help. the discussion section included a group project and i found the discussion section a nice supplement to the class.
