Take this class with Montoya! Professor is passionate and overall a good lecturer. The class teaches basic statistics and how to use R. The syllabus is as follow: 20% homework, 10% participation (attendance), 20% discussion group project, 30% quizzes, 20% final project. The workload is sometimes a bit much BUT the homework is graded based on completion on correctness. And NO MIDTERM AND FINAL. The only thing I hated about the class are the 8am lectures and how attendance is recorded on iclicker. That said, if your quiz grade is high enough you can use that to replace your attendance grade.
Easy class that did require a lot of busy work
