The textbook is very helpful and you need the textbook in order to understand the proofs
The class was Ok. Don't take it with Do if u can find someone better, he's not really the most succinct or clear lecturer. A bit of a harsh grader, but if you do all of them homework without any help (aside from office hours) then you will be just fine.
Was a great and a fun class. Professor at the end gave us a practice final and told us that 8/9 questions will be there in the final from there. This made everything really simple for everyone. Linear Algebra is a tough course but in this case it turned out to be fun.
Very caring and funny professor. Class material is definitely difficult though, would recommend going to lecture and discussion and reading the textbook (although attendance isn't mandatory or monitored). Exams are very similar to the homework and I think on the final he offered a question for extra credit.
Lecture was very clear, funny professor. Really enjoyed his lecturing style. Lecture notes are posted on Bruinlearn (no recordings), but the lecture notes are pretty good imo, albeit they are just proofs.
Weekly hw, but for some reason it got more tedious and annoying towards the end of the quarter (just took longer to finish them).
Overall, good class. Exams were just proving different things. Generally all questions you have seen before and 1 "curveball". A bit of a time crunch so learn to write fast. Don't waste time on the easy questions.
