    Quarter Taken: Fall 2018 In-Person
    Grade: A

I was fortunate to have taken Ling 20 with Prof. Hayes. His lectures were clear and enlightening, while the homework assignments could be actually fun to do. We were also assigned a term paper on syntactic properties of a language we don't speak, but the instructions and guidelines were clear enough that it wasn't too difficult to do. In the end, I was quite proud of my work.

Even though Ling 20 is a lowly introductory class, one can tell that Prof. Hayes really cares about teaching it well. He wrote his own textbook for Ling 20, and revises it every time he teaches the class. You will not regret taking Ling 20 with Hayes.
