I liked the pod structure of the class, where students are required to work in assigned groups for the term. My pod was extremely helpful and clarified much information outside of the lectures. Working with them during lectures, discussions, and the AOLs significantly helped my grade and overall improved my understanding of biology.
Need to pay close attention to clickers and CLC worksheets because that is where the exams come from.
Content is hard but the grading favors students, they want to give A's. Maloy is really good at explaining during office hours.
Not really much to say about profs since the course is standardized, but he was okay imo. I read the textbook and took notes and everything, and I was amazing at bio in hs. The 7A course is completely different and the exams are more a "can you read this convoluted diagram" rather than an actual test of your knowledge. Class is very cushioned though, but you will feel very frustrated
Honestly, the lecture's were not that helpful to me. To prepare for the exams, I recommend attend as many CLC sessions as possible.
Lowk hard ngl, but lectures were chill and not mandatory
