Scavia was an absolute trooper answering emails about homework, even before the TA strike. Even if it was late at night on a Sunday lol. Lecture was pretty mid ngl, but like it was more there to give a foundation so that you can try to do homework which will give actual understanding. But homework was pretty hard ngl. Rough questions.
Tests are also pretty rough. They tend to be out of 40 points, but if the class average is like a C or D (which happened both midterms) he’s really good about adding points. Gave us all an extra 8 points both times. I’d rate the class a B+, maybe A-
He’s a fast paced lecturer but I found his grading very fair and his exams were difficult but curved generously.
