Professor Li is a new professor but his lectures are clear. In the beginning of the quarter, it was a little rough because it would take him 15 minutes to fix the mic lol. His assigned HW can take a while but it is reflective of his tests. The only problem I have with the class is that he is stingy with partial credit.
Li is a good professor. He is new and young. You can be good friend with him. I really like the class atmosphere. It's relaxed.
His mic was never working lol. Class was fine, but there was assigned homework.
class structure: 2 midterms, 3 quizzes, 10 homework assignments. got an 88.97% but his cutoff for the quarter was an 89% and he denied me a roundup. which sucks but. he is still a very clear lecturer and confident, always explains and responds concisely and punctually when through email. has quite an accent so that could be a barrier for some people. take advantage of the study guides and past exams he puts up, and prepare for a bit more. he made our class harder than last quarters for sure. this time though he remembered to apply the curve, as compared to last quarters. take this class, its one of the better 31b professors. three quizzes weeks 3,6,9, lowest one dropped. homework: one a week except for wk10 (for us), and drops lowest score. they are very stingy with points on homework so be sure to double check with friends because they will scrutinize every single aspect. cost me an A.
The professor’s okay. The material is hard so just be ready to study a lot on your own.
