Good class, their finals and tests can be frustrating but the material is not difficult

As premed or whatever you don't have much of a choice in not taking this class, and honestly it doesn't seem like you can go too wrong with picking professors. As long as you're willing to do the readings and you have decent problem-solving skills (because exams across the entire 7 series are notoriously ass) you'll do fine. Clickers helped, but I rarely paid attention to lectures otherwise. GL!

Professor Maloy and Dr. B were engaging lecturers. I would definitely recommend going to the PSS held by LAs as those were very good extra practice problems. Go to Dr. Maloy's office hour as he would make up questions for students to practice on certain concepts they find confusing, at least that was how it's like when I took the class. The textbook is useful for basic understanding, but really don't even need to bother with it if you have some foundation from AP Bio. What's important and actually tested on exams are the topics covered in the lectures and learning objectives. Anything not covered in them, honestly don't bother spending time reviewing/understanding it as it's not likely to appear on the exams.

Honestly the class was a little chaotic. One of them was always missing. You could tell they enjoyed teaching the subjects but they weren't the best at explaining. The tests were really hard, and if you got stuck with a bad group you were pretty much screwed. When I was taking the class the TA strike occurred towards the end of the quarter. While most other teachers made some kind of accommodations, they didn't. The topics at the end were really confusing and the Task weren't there to help us. So everyone was emailing the teachers and they ignored us for weeks. When they finally got back to us they said they weren't changing anything and we need to figure it out.
